Family Reunion

We had our very first Peterson Family reunion. It was held in Pinetop-Lakeside Arizona on the week of Father's day. We had a great time with everyone. I didn't always have my camera, so I missed a lot of great memories. I enjoyed FHE. We're not the most talented bunch but we put on a talent show, great fun. We had adult sibling game night, thanks Grandma and Grandpa. Boys day out/ girls day out. Lots of Wallyball, ping pong, billiards, swimming...I'm sure I'm leaving lots out. Here's some of our memories...

Saturday morning we had family pictures taken. There were some nice looking pictures taken...just not of Steven and my family.

Leslie and Sarah.

Just behind our resort there was this great stream. Someone had built a bridge and fort. The boys LOVED playing down there. The water was "refreshing".

Eating lunch in the fort.

Jacob taught Jonathan how to play Blockus.

 Father's Day
I had to plan ahead for this one. The boys each picked out a new tie for Steven (He's got some pretty ugly ones). Special occasions would not be complete without a blueberry muffin breakfast in bed. I even packed our muffin tin. The higher altitude does make a difference...

Hey we do have talent!!

What cute boys!
Jacob, Jaken, Jonathan, Sean, Nephi, Sunny, Michael

The boys had fun exploring...

Poor Romeo, can't keep up.

Father's Day Devotional
Sunday we went to my dad's grave site and had a wonderful devotional. We each got to share our fond memories. There were great tributes to all the father's in our lives. I loved it. It was one of the highlights to the week.

This isn't the whole group. Steven currently has the whole group photos on his laptop. All the attendees:
Mom and John,
Scott and Jordan,
              Jaken, Sean, Honor
Jon and Stephanie,
                                Jonathan, Sunny, Nephi, Romeo
Patricia and James,
Leslie
Our Family
Andrea and Mike,
Kristi and Derek,
Alex

Walk down memory lane: Snowflake, Arizona
We had a picnic at the park that we grew up at. Boy it sure is different...not as fun. We walked down the road and saw our old house (I can't believe I didn't take a picture!) and walked a little ways further and looked at the creek where we use to spend a lot of time. When we were leaving the owner to our old house was getting the mail and Patricia and I went up and chatted. We got invited in. It was SO MUCH FUN! That was a great house to live in as a kid.

We took a picture of the bull living next door to our house, but not one of the house??? Check out the flimsy fence.

Wednesday we  went on a Geo caching hike.

The treasure.

The weather was great. The scenery was beautiful. The company was fun. Thanks everyone for a great first reunion!!

What wonderful memories and so awesome to have all the siblings there, even from overseas. I can imagine the graveside visit was a powerfully emotional moment for all. Hoping there are many more of these reunions to come!

Fun times! Too bad you weren't in Snowflake this past weekend...maybe we would've run into each other!

Wow! I had no idea how big your family was getting. So fun for everyone to get together and the cousins to get to know each other.
