Week 3
I finished my runs for week three. I liked week three. Review: week one was fine. The highlight of week one was having my kids and hubby go out with me one of the nights. I really enjoyed that. Steven pushed the girls in the stroller and Jacob and Michael did some runs with me. Week one was run 1 minute, walk 1 1/2 minutes--8 times. Very doable. We'd run and then walk back to Steven and walk with him. I think they stuck with me for half the time, I then finished the rest of the runs on my own. Week two. I don't remember liking anything about week two. One of those runs I did pushing the stroller and stayed close to home as the boys rode their bikes. It stunk! The up side, Jacob got me some water as I passed by the house for the umpteenth time. It was a hot day. In week 2, I also tried a run in the morning before Steven left for work. I liked the idea of running in the morning, no kids and no heat, but it was a REALLY hard run. I felt discouraged, after all it was only week two. Run 1 1/2 minutes walk 2 minutes--6 times. I'm looking at that thinking that shouldn't have been so hard, but then I just recalled that I was dealing with the sludginess of a cold. Okay. On to week three. Run 1 1/2 min, walk 1 1/2 min, run 3 min. walk 3 min--two times. I really liked these runs. I had taken a break. I should have ran week three Sat, Mon and Wed, but I really felt my knees needed a break. So, I'm now on Mon, Wed, Fri schedule. I ran these in the mornings. I'm thankful for my little baby alarm. Side note: Rachel's been doing awesome! She's slept through the night this week, 9-5:30a. Last night she did 7-6:00a. AND she goes back to sleep. I liked the morning runs this week. My body was feeling better and it felt good to get showed and be done for the day. I also liked having the 3 min. runs. It was the same amount of running as week 2, but WAY better. It was great to finish my first 3 min run and to be half way done. I also changed up my route for a change of scenery. I love that I'm done for the day and don't have to run until Monday. Week 4: run 3 min, walk 1 1/2 min, run 5 min, walk 2 1/2 min--2 times. AH!!

I'm loving your reports on running. I am SOOO out of shape. I just started going to our local high school track and doing about 2 miles--but, I run a lap, walk a lap, run a lap, walk a lap, etc. I also have a ton of interruptions with the girls wanting me to hold them (it makes no sense--we go to the store, they run and don't want to stay by me--we go to the track, I tell them to run and play...they just want to be next to me the whole time--frustrating. oh well.) Anyway--so, my "run" laps aren't solid running. But, I'm hoping to get better as I do it. I just really need to get in better shape and get my girls to enjoy exercising too. So...here's to you and me becoming better runners! :) Good luck next week! I'll be excited to hear how you do.
