For me, it is the little things that makes life sweet. This weekend those little things sure added up. I do get help and support from Steven, but this weekend he was fantastic.
--He wrote Michael's little talk and helped him give it during opening exercises in Primary at church. It was very nice to sit in the back watching how cute it was. Michael was shy and would wrap his arms around Steven's neck after saying each sentence out of nervousness or embarrassment. Steven said he would just give him encouragement and he'd talk some more. I loved it!
--I taught in primary, which was a last minute thing. Steven took Sarah. To me, he was showing me that he supports me. He has his own church calling and I loved his attitude, "Here, I'll take Sarah." Very simple. I had a great time teaching the Valiant 9 class. I enjoyed the lesson and the kids got into it. During Singing time Steven looked very attractive sitting there holding our sleeping baby.
--After church he hung out with the boys while I got to take a nap. I didn't even have to get up when Sarah woke up!!!
--Sunday dinner was at Steven's sister, Melissa's house. While we were there we put Sarah in their Bumbo (a seat that supports babies as they sit). Sarah had a monster blowout. She was wearing a diaper(it sure didn't seem like she was), tights, a onesie, a dress with matching diaper cover......Yeah. It ran all the way to her foot inside the tights. She even got a blanket and burp cloth. All I had to do was wash Sarah off and Steven did the rest. He scrubbed all the poo out of everything and put it in a bag. Again, I didn't even ask.
I went to sleep last night feeling a lot of graditude for my husband. I sure love him!!
