Count Your Blessings...

Today happens to be "one of those days". It began with one loud child, two crying babies needing my attention, and one child having a complete meltdown--all before 9:00a. We just have had a end to a great visit from both sets of grandparents, so I was okay with this. The rest of the day I'd have to label as bipolar. Yes we had MANY downs, but we had incredible ups!
So here's to the top of the hills...

Jacob figured out how to build with cards and accomplished his goal of two levels. Yeah to persevering!

We went outside and spontaneously took off Michael's training wheels on his bike. Apparently those things have been slowing him down! He didn't even need me. We went cautiously on the driveway and grass. When he realized he wasn't going to fall, he was zooming up and down the street racing Jacob.

I love this.

Steven came home early to work on his breaks. He took off the tire to find this. I had the camera out for Michael on his bike and took this picture as he told me about the problem. If you can see what's going on, good for you. It did look and sound dangerous. I'm very grateful for his safety.

Sarah and I watched one of our butterflies emerge from it's cocoon. It was way cool. The boys went with Steven to get his break part and missed it. A second chrysalis began shaking shortly after. We now have two butterflies. Hopefully Jacob and Michael will get to see at least one of the remaining three.

These kind of moments are worth it all...and more.

I completely forgot about the butterflies! That's awesome. I need to order some too. Oh, I love Jacob's card tower. My kids neevr had the patience to finish it. Not even Balint. Way to go Jacob!

Bipolar - such a great description for a typical day as a mom. It's been a goal of mine recently to focus more on those 'ups'.
