We took the family to the zoo a couple of weekends ago and had a great time. The boys really like the aquarium and Sarah liked pointing at all the animals. While there we stopped off at the Naturally Wild Swap Shop. It is fairly new to the zoo and had learned about it during a previous trip. Jacob has started a nature colletion. When we go on nature walks he'll pick up something of interest. He's kind of picky. I had him learn about the spanish moss he found and when we went to the zoo we took it with us. He sat down with the naturist and he talked with her about what he brought in. I wish I was videoing it. He did a great job in explaining what he knew. It was cute listening to their scientific conversation. The naturalist told him that normally spanish moss would earn him 10 points but because he knew so much about it she was giving him 25 points. How cool is that? He was loving it. At the Swap Shop you earn points to trade for nature items that they have there. Jacob walked around the room and decided to save up his points for another visit. He asked if he could look at his moss through the microscope. Michael loved the microscope and was sitting there putting different items under it the whole time Jacob was talking with the Naturalist.
