I just recently was called to be in the Young Women's Presidency and I am going to love working with my advisor. She just got off her mission and is a great example and we'll have a lot of fun with these energetic 12/13 year olds. This last week she asked me to share for a couple minutes during the lesson how a temple marriage can bring the Lord's blessings to your home. I really enjoyed this assignment and the time I devoted to thinking about all the blessing that we receive by being obedient to the Lord. The wonderful thing was in church on Sunday we had a wonderful talk given all about the temple. I took note of all the blessing we can receive (way more than I came up with). These are things that past and present prophets and apostles have promised.
-An increase on righteousness
-Marriage and family strengthened
-Crowd out evils
-Protect and save our children
-Receive personal revelation
-Keeps alive our spiritual strengths
-Blessed in temporal affairs
-Worries and troubles solved quickly
-Relationships; less of selfishness, more love, peace and happiness
-Great spiritual experiences
-Need more help than just our own wisdom to raise children
I am so in aw at how much our Heavenly Father loves us and wants to bless us. The temple is ALL about family. I know that when I attend my love is increased. These blessings are irreplaceable. We need to be attending the temple more regularly.
When I shower I always take my wedding ring off and put it on a hook in the bathroom. The other day Jacob comes to find me, and being very serious tells me, "mom, you forgot to put on your marriage ring." I thanked him and then got to explain to him that it wasn't the ring, but the keeping my covenants or promises I made that makes daddy and I married forever and ever.

Thanks for the reminder. I hope your 2nd time around with the YW will be as good or better than the 1st.
How cute that Jacob noticed your ring.
